HAPI is a nonprofit organization offering free artistic opportunities to people in mental health and addiction recovery. Through the arts, we promote healing, personal growth, and community understanding.

Mission: HAPI provides artistic opportunities for persons in mental health and addiction recovery to promote healing, community awareness and inclusion.

Vision: HAPI exists to fill a gap in recovery and rehabilitation services by providing free art classes taught by professional artists, art exhibition and publication opportunities, and outreach events. These opportunities help participants express and externalize their personal struggles as they create art to tell their story, promoting healing in themselves and understanding in the community.

We serve individuals across Tennessee who are on their mental health or recovery journey. Our programs are open, inclusive, and provided at no cost.

· 🖼️ Public Exhibitions: Showcasing participant artwork across the state.

· 📚 Outreach & Publications: Elevating lived experiences through storytelling and art.

We partner with peer-support centers across Tennessee to bring our programming directly to participants. Our exhibitions are held in community spaces such as libraries and public galleries.

Participants report increased self-worth, confidence, and social connection. Publicly exhibiting their work helps reduce stigma and uplifts individual stories of resilience.
